This is a special extended edition covering highlights of the Academy Experience from 1978 through 1993.
(Previously released as Academy Pictorial History Part I)

single tape/DVD running time 80 min.

NOTES: 
The quality of the video varies from acceptable to just barely ok.  This is due to the use of early generation video tape gear and the use of surveillance camera footage.  Some of the footage is in B&W.

This special extended edition includes expanded footage on two of the scenarios, scenes that were lost between the original video tape and the version that was released a year ago, some additional footage from the same time period and cleaned up versions of a number of scenes without the pronounced solarization effects.

If you purchased Academy History -Part One from us previously and want this new extended edition instead, just return the original DVD w/case (or tape) to us (PO Box 1105, Enfield CT 06083).  For $10 we will send you the new version post paid.




The Academy History - Part One video is a composite of scenes from real scenarios that have been offered to several customers of the Training Center. As such, some of the faces are hidden to protect their identity.  The action is real and mostly unrehearsed.

Illustrated are the use of the  original Academy restraint chair, enclosure in a box, isolation cells, jail cells (from the original Missouri location of the Academy Training Center), forced smoke, inflatable mummy bag, iron lung, heavy restraint, cigar smoke, breath control, diving suit, surveillance video, police harassment and interrogation of prisoners, rope bondage and more.

(One of the scenarios is actually the director trying out some gear prior to its use on clients.)
